Update on our projects – 08-08-2026

Weather continues to challenge our EFIS project, but progress is being made. We expect to be  finished by the end of the month and are hopeful the gutters will be wrapped up as well shortly thereafter. We know the excess water has created a mess in some areas, and we appreciate your patience as we keep the EFIS crew focused and we will continut to do our best to manage water issues until the gutter team can get on site.  We will be painting doors since many of the doors when the tape was removed had paint pulled off.  This place is going to look sharp once we are done!

We have applied for the permit to begin the shoreline work and will provide specific timelines as soon as we hear back from Alabama Power and the County.

Many of you have had to deal with some unwanted “guests” lately. I hate that we’re all dealing with this, but the extreme heat is driving every living creature to seek shelter—and rodents, unfortunately, don’t mind chewing on electrical lines, hoses, and anything else they find while they look for shade. We have added enhanced rodent control to our existing pest control contract and we have added bait stations for common areas.  In all my time here we’ve never needed this option, but desperate times call for desperate measures. We’re hopeful you’ll see improvement soon.

I’m going to leave the update video available a bit longer in case you haven’t had a chance to watch it yet.

*** DANGER***

I feel most folks know why the grilling deck at 204 has been largely ignored to date. Currently there is litigation that keeps us from addressing the condition of the deck. We are asking that homeowners cease from using the deck, because it is in disrepair and could be dangerous. Once this matter is behind us, and the courts rule in our favor, we will immediately address the degradation that has occurred and will let everyone know when it can be used again. Thanks for your understanding.
